Abstract. A logical step in the development of modern neo-paganism is the gradual systematization, structuring and rational understanding of neo-pagan teachings by their followers. To date, these processes have led to the formation of a kind of “pagan theology”, the appearance of which, among other things, can be seen as a new step in the fight of neo-pagan movements for social recognition that they have actively carried on since the day of their appearance. Now “pagan theology” in some western countries is gradually gaining a right to exist among a number of academic disciplines becoming an important tool for the legitimation of neo-paganism.
