Abstract.
The article aims to reveal the specifics of N. A. Berdyaev’s religious and philosophical speculations devoted to the problem of theodicy. Relatively new is emphasis on the historical, universal scale of the problem of the origin of evil. The thinker assigns enormous role to evil in historical reality. Besides, he represented the solution of theodicy in the self-developed original conception of creativity. Creativity forms a new world rather than fights against evil. It creatively implements kindness and creatively transforms evil into kind.
