INFLUENCE OF TEMPERAMENT TYPE ON THE CHOICE OF PERSONAL COPING STRATEGIES

Abstract.
The article examines the influence of the peculiarities of personal temperament on the choice of coping behaviour strategies. The authors discovered that the type of temperament influences the choice of personal coping strategies. Constructive active and constructive passive coping strategies are typical for sanguine persons; choleric persons more often manifest explicit aggression, impulsiveness, apply to manipulation strategy and can choose asocial copings; phlegmatic persons prefer the strategies of cautious and indirect or manipulative actions; melancholic persons give preference to avoidance strategies.
