DESIGN OF CHILDREN’S MAGAZINES “FIREFLY” (1902-1918) AND “SKYLARK” (1913-1923)

Abstract. The article examines the design of the children’s magazines “Firefly” and “Skylark”, which has not been investigated previously. The author has studied the archive of the magazines for all the years of the release. Due to the systemic approach and method of comprehensive analysis the researcher made appropriate conclusions on the magazines “Firefly” and “Skylark” as models of design. The editions are distinguished by the considered conception and successful design techniques, so the harmonious visual appearance is created.
