FREE MAN AS AN EDUCATIONAL IDEAL IN THE CONDITIONS OF MEDIA CULTURE

Abstract.
The article explains the necessity of turning to the study of freedom, on the one hand, in the context of the formation of the concept “man of culture” (V. Bibler), on the other hand, in terms of its importance in overcoming alienation in the conditions of media culture. The author considers the problem of becoming a free man basing upon the philosophical theories of Erich Fromm, N. Berdyaev and K. Marx and thus she substantiates the use of the idea of freedom as a fundamental one in the context of the transformations of the educational ideal of the man in the conditions of media culture. On the basis of K. Marx’s historical typology of the economic man the author proposes to use the idea of the media-free man as an educational ideal.
