USING INTERPOL’S CHANNELS WHILE INVESTIGATING CRIMES COMMITTED BY FOREIGN CITIZENS

Abstract. The article discovers the specifics of using the resources provided by the International Criminal Police Organization while investigating crimes committed by foreign citizens. The author identifies two basic investigatory situations, under which it is desirable to appeal through the Interpol’s channels for foreign law-enforcement bodies and briefly describes what information on a criminal case can be acquired. The paper focuses on the problems that often occur while interacting with foreign law-enforcement bodies and introduces the means to solve them.
