Abstract.
The article examines the possibilities to use the project GRAAL of the corpus “Basis of the Medieval French” (“la Base du Français Médiéval” - BFM) in studies on linguistics and related fields. The authors analyze the main distinctive technical characteristics of the basis, introduce the functional and search possibilities of the corpus, formulate the prevalent tasks and prospects of the project and the advantages of the studies conducted in the BFM corpus. The paper is of descriptive and empirical nature, which determines its basic purpose - to describe the possibilities of the presentation and practical application of the corpus data.
