CATEGORY OF PERSON AND FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC CATEGORY OF PERSONALITY AS DIVERSIFIED CATEGORIES

Abstract. The article discovers the specifics of the category of person and the functional-semantic category of personality. The author emphasizes the multi-functionality and diversified nature of these categories, which manifests itself in grammatical and semantic aspects. The category of person is examined not only as a verbal category, the paper also covers its representation in names, infinitives and subject-object relations. The researcher analyzes the functioning of this category in syntactic and semantic-pragmatic aspects, identifies the close relations of the categories of person and personality with other grammatical and functional-semantic categories.
