ROLE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES IN PROTECTION OF PUBLIC ORDER AND ENSURING PUBLIC SECURITY IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

Abstract.
The occurrence of an emergency situation has a negative impact on the whole sphere of social relations, firstly, on the state of public order and public security. As a result of the conducted research the author comes to the conclusion that in emergency situations of both socio-political and natural-technogenic character law enforcement authorities make up the basis of the forces and means of public order protection and ensuring public security, which allow minimizing panic, committing crimes, rendering assistance to population promptly, and finally carrying out a complex of urgent arrangements in full measure.
