Abstract.
The article considers the morphology and semantics of the Picts’ epigraphies, and presents the methodology of studying and deciphering the Picts’ letters. In-cycle and comparative analysis of the Picts’ epigraphies was carried out. Some of the inscriptions are attributive in nature; the dating of symbols is associated with the translation of the literary poetic tradition. The artistic elements in the inscriptions are revealed. The tradition of the Picts’ epigraphies is connected with the corresponding monuments of the Old Irish language.
