RELATIONS OF POLITICAL CENSORSHIP BODIES WITH JOINT STATE POLITICAL DIRECTORATE - PEOPLE'S COMMISSARIAT FOR INTERNAL AFFAIRS IN URAL IN THE 1920-1930S

Abstract.
In the article the practices of the interaction of political censorship institute with national security bodies in Ural in the 1920-1930s are considered. The author states that the local bodies of General Directorate for the Protection of State Secrets in the Press had enough independence while censorial control realization. Censors' activity was not the object of control by the bodies of Joint State Political Directorate - People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs. The article is written on the basis of a wide range of sources, part of which is for the first time introduced into scientific circulation.
