Abstract. The article tackles the problems of the interaction of state and religious social organizations by the example of Kabardino-Balkaria. Being the institutional form of expressing religion and the most important condition of its social existence religious associations are created and act with the purpose of the satisfaction of people's religious needs determining the essence and destination of religious associations. The author pays special attention to revealing the problems of the interaction of state and religious associations.
