Abstract. The author discusses target language culture during the Renaissance and industrial capitalism epoch, which is one of the most interesting problems in translation theory and practice, by the example of historical texts considers the problem of cross-language stylistic equivalence in communicative-pragmatic aspect, and reveals the key qualities, providing the adequacy of translated texts to originals.
