Abstract.
The author discusses the main problems of the architectural and surveying work in the period of the active urban building within Western Siberia, and pays special attention to the analysis of the activity of Surgut Branch of Leningrad Zonal Scientific-Research Institute of Experimental Design in the 1970s.
