Abstract. The author considers the formation of the naval company and heavy artillery divisions, which were placed in armoured trains. The naval company was one of the first Volunteer Army units created in Novocherkassk. The existence of naval company and naval heavy artillery divisions in armoured trains showed the creation of the more branched structure of white military-riverine forces in the Don region (in comparison with a soviet one). Naval heavy artillery divisions were composed of naval armoured trains crews coming in the forefront of attacking white units. In addition, the author pays attention to the combat activity significance of land forces.
