Abstract.
The author discusses viola new sound capabilities development, formed as the result of a composer and a performer interaction processes, from these positions emphasizes the creative union of two modern great musicians - Yu. Bashmet and G. Kancheli, and considers the stylistic unity of their musical thinking, on which basis there appear promising trends in viola modern art.
