DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO: PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS UNDER MILITARY AND POLITICAL CRISIS CONDITIONS

Abstract.
The author discusses the reasons of conflict situations during presidential elections, the electoral process essence and presidential elections results in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), substantiates that the proposed analysis allows extending the idea of democratic processes formation in Africa and following the trends of contemporary African society development; in contrast to the well-known researches on this subject pays special attention to the first elections in the DRC in the history of Congolese independence organized by the Congolese, and describes their national specificity.
