Abstract.
The author reveals the social-legal positions of R. Pound's legal theory concerning law and morality problems, analyzes R. Pound's point of view on law and morality correlation dynamics, which depends on the historical stage of law development, and concludes that the American law sociologist confirming the necessity of law and morality consistency adhered to the idea that morality is changing in the course of society development, and law should adapt to it to ensure the optimal effectiveness of legal regulation.
