ABSURD CATEGORY IN A. CAMUS'S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. The author reveals the content of the notion absurd in the views of A. Camus, the representative of such philosophical movement as existentialism, pays special attention to the problem of absurd and its role in human life from the philosopher's point of view, as well as existential being in the conceptions of this philosophical movement other representatives, and discusses the notion freedom and its role in human life in the context of existentialism, and, accordingly, the modern interpretation of the term.
