CIRCUITEERS SERVICE IN KITAI-GOROD OF THE XVIITH CENTURY

Abstract.
The author considers one of the least studied aspects of Moscow history of the XVIIth century - the city administration activity, analyzes the organization of circuiteers service and the relations of circuiteers with subordinate population (by the example of Kitai Gorod circuit), and comes to the conclusion about the limitedness of administrative influence on the life of Kitai Gorod by virtue of the class organization of the society and the specific features of this Moscow district.
