Abstract.
The author considers the role of Moscow educational institutions in the celebration of the centenary of the Patriotic War of 1812, the organization of students' marches to Philly, the circumstances of the preparation and holding of Russian secondary schools educatees' imperial show-parade in Moscow, basing on the analysis mostly of archival documents studies the activity of the Ministry of Education, Moscow Educational District leaders and school principals, and describes the forms of pupils participation in celebrations and their significance for the patriotic education of student youth.
