Abstract.
The author reveals the stylistic features of psalm genre in modern musical compositions of concert plane, in the first part of the article defines psalm genre, considers the notions invariant or genre - fundamental principle, genre variant, variant-model and variant-modification; shows how these notions were embodied in psalm genre and various modern psalm compositions history, in the second part of the work determines the constant features of psalm musical genre, and tackles in detail the stylistic features of the psalm compositions of the ХХth century within the framework of neo-canonical, neo-classical and radical tendencies.
