Abstract.
The author considers the position of the Cabinet of Ministers in the political system of Great Britain of the XVIIIth century, shows the evolution of this British political system element in the context of the gradual transition from personal monarchy to parliamentary one and the transformation of parliamentary government system into constitutional mechanisms and the political participation structures of modern type, and presents long-term processes in the history of Great Britain political institutions in connection with politicians' biographies, event history and the historiography of the problem.
