CREATION AND WORK OF QUARTERMASTER SERVICE DURING THE FIRST YEARS OF KING HENRY VIII'S REIGN (BY THE EXAMPLE OF CAMPAIGN AGAINST FRANCE IN 1513)

Abstract. The author discusses the question of military construction in the British army of the beginning of the XVIth century, pays special attention to the reasons of quartermaster service creation during the military campaign of King Henry VIII in 1513 against France within the war of Holy League frames, covers the questions of food supplies, the construction of tents for overnight stay, transport means; and estimates the results including those based on the memoirs of the eyewitnesses.
