CORES OF LATE PALEOLITHIC MONUMENT KOSTENKI 11/IA

Abstract. The author considers the stone stock of the site Kostenki 11/Ia, in particular the cores, emphasizes the question about the context of their origin and typological classification parameters, which do not provide a complete picture of the stone industry, performs the consideration of the cores collection in terms of the available forms technological and trace evidence analyses, shows that as a result of these analyses the idea about the origin of the available tools morphological forms changes, and adds that in itself this is an example of the consideration of individual typological groups in terms of complex analysis, which allows rethinking a specific monument stone industry and making fundamentally different, more objective, conclusions.
