TRADITION IN CREATIVE WORKS OF TRANS-BAIKAL LANDSCAPE PAINTERS

Abstract.
The authors analyze the pictorial landscapes of the Trans-Baikal artists of the ХХ th-XXI st centuries; tackle the problem of preserving and developing the Russian art traditions, reveal common themes, coloristic and textural developments, stable compositional schemes, diverse techniques in the landscapes of “pure nature” and “second environment”, show that the Trans-Baikal landscapes continue two directions: the traditions of close to “plein air”, realistic easel landscape painting and the traditions of the decorative style of painting, typical of the Old Russian one, consider the Trans-Baikal artists’ works, and for the first time introduce them into scientific circulation.
