Abstract.
The author researches the role and significance of the Persian problem in the interstate relations of England and Russia; and emphasizes the fact that from the economic rivalry of the end of the XIX
th – the beginning of the XX
th century for the achievement of the dominant influence in Persia the great powers, taking into account the international situation and the domestic political situation in the country of the Lion and the Sun, moved to the collaboration on the basis of the agreement of 1907, which predetermined the mutual support of the interested parties in their Persian policy.
