Abstract.
The author reveals the hermeneutical principles of the Renaissance thinkers, discusses the influence of humanistic hermeneutics on the Renaissance one, shows the specificity of Martin Luther and Jean Calvin’s hermeneutic approaches, states the basic regulations of the analytical method, and considers the reflection of M. Luther and J. Calvin’s hermeneutical principles in the Westminster Assembly decisions.
