Abstract.
The author considers the problematic questions of the native artillery combat use in the Soviet-Finnish War, analyzes the conclusion made by the military-political leadership of the country concerning the artillery development, pays special attention to the drawbacks that had not been eliminated by the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, and for the first time introduces a number of archival documents into scientific circulation.
