Abstract.
The author discusses a topical theme of modern ethics – the consideration of the compassion and mercy degree of the Russian society at the beginning of the XXI
st century, emphasizes and substantiates the everlasting value of moral guidelines in the estimation of socium general state, tells that from his point of view the notion of civil society is closely connected with the implementation of justice principle in society, and concludes that only the cultivation of the ideas of sympathy, compassion and mutual responsibility among young people can lead society to the construction of humane and civilized state.
