Abstract.
The author considers the problem of the evacuation of Air Force military educational institutions of the USSR during the initial period of the Great Patriotic War, shows that the re-deployment of aviation schools and colleges, and their deployment at new location were carried out in the shortest possible time, basing on the analysis of archival documents states that the locations of the new deployment sites of Air Force military educational institutions were not adapted for the high-quality education of military students, and concludes that nonetheless many of aviation schools and colleges that trained middle and junior aviation specialists were re-deployed deep into the country, where, in spite of difficult conditions, continued to train aviation personnel.
