Abstract. The author considers the problem of early poststructuralism categorial system influence on architectural projects and town planning conceptions in the Netherlands during the Reconstruction era – three decades after World War II, during which the Netherlands architects not only solved the problem of towns construction but laid the foundation for the city of the future, using the most advanced intellectual and technical resources; tells that the significance of this period in modern architecture history is mentioned repeatedly by researchers, but so far they have not determined what the aesthetic and social paradigms of the Reconstruction are, and what defines the general vector of the Netherlands architecture development during the period of the 1940-1970s; and pays special attention to the utopian elements of modernism and postmodernism philosophy, implemented in the architectural practice of the Netherlands architects at the end of the 1950s – 1960s.
