Abstract.
According to sociological research results the author considers the process of change in employment structure within rural areas of the southern Far East that resulted in the change of employment priorities, presents some of the strategies used by rural residents in the period of economic transformations, and substantiates the possibilities of agriculture attractiveness as the sphere of employment.
