Abstract.
The author through the prism of social differentiation and segregation considers the problems of constructing safe urban environment, tells that the empirical basis of the research is the survey of Perm' residents, comes to the conclusion about the existence of connections between the sense of security and the level of material prosperity, and mentions that education and actors’ way of life play an important role in the process of constructing safe urban environment.
