Abstract.
The author considers the theoretical-legal understanding of civil society conceptions in the Russian legal scholars’ works of the end of the XIX th – the beginning of the XX th century, reveals the specificity of the formation and interaction of the Russian civil society and the state, and pays special attention to the theoretical-legal structures of civil self-organization, the correlation between the state, law, and civil society.
