Abstract.
The author analyzes the transcendental philosophy of culture of one of the Russian neo-Kantian thought main representatives – Sergei Iosifovich Hessen, reveals the connection of his philosophy with the ideas of the German neo-Kantianism, considers the specific features and key themes of his philosophical creative works, and pays particular attention to the study of the problem of culture in Hessen’s philosophy, revealing its transcendental foundations through the notion of personality, formed in the process of the man’s inclusion into the world of transcendental values.
