RESPONSIBILITY AS MOMENT OF HUMAN ETHICAL SELF-REALIZATION IN SOREN KIERKEGAARD’S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract.
The existential position of “private thinker” S. Kierkegaard is the methodological basis of the article. Basing on the author’s distancing from speculative, or theoretical philosophy, it is shown that philosophy is not possible outside the personally oriented measurement of self-realization within one’s own existential rootedness. It is mentioned that the source of philosophizing, which is not limited to the reasonable measurement of truth, is despair. The content of the notion of responsibility is traced on the basis of the comparison between the aesthetic and ethical levels of self-realization. The aesthetic section of our being is revealed because of inability to possess circumstances and impossibility to make conscious and responsible choice. It is shown that the concept of responsibility as a condition for the possibility of free self-realization is a product of the ethical measurement of existence.
