Abstract. The attempt of the philosophical and sociological analysis of empirical researches on social competences and loneliness is undertaken. The interconnection between loneliness and the weak communicative skills of the individual is revealed. The dependence of loneliness experience on the estimation of the personal qualities of the individual by others is shown. The relationship of the personality’s psychological type and loneliness is revealed.
