Abstract. According to the results of the sociological research the majority of the external students of the pharmaceutical faculty of Volgograd State Medical University have a high pharmaceutical education and work in this sphere. They have motivation to work in population drug supply sphere after graduating from the university. Employers favorably consider their staff’s studying at institutes of higher education. The authors of the article recommend preserving the correspondence form of pharmacists training as the link between the high and higher levels of professional education.
