IDENTITY IN SOCIAL INTERNET NETWORKS (THEORETICAL ASPECTS)

Abstract. The article analyzes the main approaches and the logic of identity scientific research in social networks. The role of I. Hoffman’s theory as the methodological basis of identity research is shown. The role of the profile as the key element of network identity analysis is revealed. The logic of the basic approach to identity research as the set of classification and standardization is shown. The conclusion about the role of methods that, contrary to theory, are the key factor of identity research in social networks is made.
