Abstract.
The article considers the basic concept of culture – the image of Dwelling, by means of which the model of human’s individual world is constructed, its transformation into the image of Living Environment. This transformation takes place due to the application of invariant construction method. Invariant, being a universal concept, functions as a specific method in culturology. Invariant is regarded both as a general concept, category or property, and as the system of structures or principles.
