SYMBOLS OF CULTURE AND ARTISTIC IMAGE IN GARDEN DESIGN

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the process of artistic-figurative structures semantic formation in garden design objects, where spatial symbols are considered as structure-formative elements. Special attention is paid to the development of methodology for analyzing the semantic structures composing artistic image by means of the proposed model of the visual “verbalization” and verbal “visualization” of structure-formative symbols. The author concludes that this methodology can serve as a “tool” in the study of the formation of meaning- and style-formative process in the objects of material culture.
