Abstract.
The practice of the disfranchisement of urban and rural population’s part in the North Ossetian Autonomous Area during the period of the elections in 1926-1927 is analyzed in the article by extensive documentary material from the Central State Archive of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The authors ascertain the social structure and quantity of disfranchised population in Vladikavkaz and show the dynamics of its increase. The most typical violations of electoral legislation are demonstrated by specific examples.
