PERCEPTION OF ACTOR’S BODY IN PLASTIC PERFORMANCE: PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of the perception of an actor’s body by the spectator in a plastic theatre from the viewpoint of phenomenology and body-oriented approach in cognitive sciences. The paper investigates the method of the presentation of a piece of art by the example of the plastic theatre “PoemaTheatre” and the specifics of the perceptive process of a recipient. The author reveals the meaning of the phenomenon of “body thresholds” and also analyzes the peculiarities of the metaphysical interaction of the bodies of an actor and a spectator during the performance.
