Abstract.
The paper considers the state of legal service in the national economy and the role of community juridical councils in the system of the state arbitration of Western Siberia in the 1960s. The process of their creation is analyzed on the basis of archival sources. The author points out that community councils, in spite of bureaucratic approach to the evaluation of their activity, made substantial contribution to the popularization of legal knowledge and the protection of the economic interests of enterprises and organizations.
