Abstract.
The article deals with the intrusion of new behaviour patterns and values into social mass consciousness by means of special-purpose women’s press to form the image of the “soviet woman”. The author draws main attention to the ideological guidelines of the transformations carried out in the 1920-1930s on rising women’s social and political activity. On the basis of women’s periodical press analysis the policy of the social modelling of the strategy of work with different social groups of readers is identified.
