Abstract.
In the article the content of the notion “model of conflict” is revealed; its definition is given; the requirements, which should be satisfied by the model descriptions of conflict interaction, are enumerated; the generalized stages of conflict modelling are singled out, and at the same time the author focuses on the polysemanticism of this term. Special attention is paid to the problem of the use of mathematical models that are an irreplaceable tool for the comprehension, explanation, prediction and regulation of conflict.
