Abstract.
The article describes the specific possibilities of a museum as a phenomenon of culture in the solution of the tasks of the sociocultural adaptation of the disabled. The paper reveals the meaning of the concepts “society of inclusion”, “inclusive approach”, “universal design”. The article presents and interprets the experience of the author’s original programme “Bright World” of the State Museum of the History of Religion. The programme is realized according to the basic principles of the society of inclusion proclaiming equal access of the disabled to the objects of sociocultural space.
