Abstract.
In the article on the basis of the materials of a sociological research conducted in the Republic of Mali among the graduates of the Russian/Soviet higher education establishments socio-communicative barriers and their overcoming during the adaptation and professional socialization of the African students are considered. The comparison of the methods of the social adaptation of foreign students that were used in the USSR and are used in the Russian Federation is made.
