NON-VIOLENCE: TOPICALITY OF THE PROBLEM IN THE MODERN WORLD

Abstract. In the article the authors reveal the content of the notion “non-violence” as an ethical phenomenon, which, besides general moral and historical components, contains personality-moral, spiritual-practical constituent parts determining the attitude towards non-violence of each individual and finally the attitude towards non-violence in a certain society. Main attention is paid to the actualization of non-violence problem in the XXI century, therefore the authors appeal to the spiritual heritage of M. L. King and other outstanding theorists and practitioners of the XX century.
